1. ruimte (begane grond):
Een groot raam met erdoorheen een lange tafel van staal en glas. Op de tafel vier speakers, die het geluid uit de tweede ruimte weergeven.
2. ruimte (eerste verdieping):
Een lange smalle muur (L 8 m. x H 1.2 m. x B 0.1 m.) vormt de lengteas van de ruimte. Op de muur ligt een rail, waarop een koperen kogel heen en weer rolt. Aan het eind van de muur hangen schietloden, die net als de rail onder hoogspanning staan. Bij het passeren van de bol springt de elektriciteit over. Contactmicrofoons vangen de verschillende geluiden op, die versterkt in de eerste ruimte te horen zijn.
Description
space 1 (ground floor):
A long table made of steel and glass is thrust through a large window pane. There are four loudspeakers on the table which transmit sound from the second space.
space 2 (first floor):
A long, narrow wall (length 8 m. x height 1.2 m. x thickness 0.1 m.) forms the longitudinal axis of the space. On top of the wall there is a rail along which a copper ball rolls back and forth. Plumb lines are suspended at the end of the wall. Like the rail these are connected to a high voltage electrical source. As the ball passes there is an electric spark. Contact microphones pick up the various sounds, which are amplified and relayed to the first space.
